FORUM GUIDELINES

1) Read guidelines IN FULL and "sign" the "STICKY" thread, confirming, "I have read the guidelines, and will comply".
2) POST NOTHING (crit or poem) until you have signed once.
3) Prior to posting one of your own, a comprehensive critique of ONE(1) other poems is required. The critique must be detailed, extensive, and show knowledge of common poetical devices. Line by line comment is appropriate in substantiating the critique.
Note titles of the poem you critted atop your poem post.
4) ZERO tolerance for attacks/flames of poets/critiques. A violation may result in deletion of your own work.
5) Forum Directors will advise when a critique is sub-standard, and will work with poets on improvement; however, attempts to circumvent the line-by-line requirements with a "lick and a promise" critique, will result in that poet's prohibition to post until the previous critique is made satisfactory to a Forum Director.
6) Revisions: Post significant revisions and modify thread to say "Rev #"
7) Helpful commentary and conversation between poets encouraged.
8) Don't make police necessary, this is our house. Let's work together -- return crits, reply with thanks, communicate and all will be well.
(9)Poetry posted w/o a sign-in or the requisite critique will be moved to The Poetry Cafe.
